Free Palestine is a single-issue party formed to put Palestine on the New Zealand parliamentary agenda. It says it exists to press the Government to meet its obligations under international law, to support the prosecution of war crimes, and to build a movement open to supporters from different political traditions. It holds no seats in the current Parliament.
The party was formed by Palestine solidarity campaigners and registered with the Electoral Commission on 5 August 2026 to contest the general election. It has not previously contested a New Zealand election.

This party wants New Zealand to take a strong stand for Palestine. They say NZ should support international law, back UN resolutions, and push for war crimes prosecutions. They also want NZ to pull away from its security ties with the United States and act more independently in world affairs.
